In this course, the student studies the book "An Introduction to the First and Foremost Companions" [Ta‘rif bil-Sābiqīn al-Awwalīn min al-Muhājirīn wa al-Anṣār], which is a concise compilation prepared by the Curriculum Committee at Dar al-Mustafa under the guidance and supervision of Habib ‘Umar bin Muhammad bin Salim bin Hafiz. The book introduces a selection of the early predecessors from among the Immigrants (Muhājirīn) and the Helpers (Anṣār), as well as some of those who accepted Islam in the year of the Conquest. It provides their names, dates of birth, death, and conversion to Islam, along with some of their virtues. It also includes mention of some of the delegations that visited the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him), his family, and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them all and grant them His mercy).
